DLC

...
The data link connector is the multi-pin diagnostic connection port for automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles used to interface a scan tool with the control modules of a given vehicle and access on-board diagnostics and live data streams. Prior to 1996, many OBD-I data link connectors were in the engine compartment, usually near the fuse block. Also, prior to 1996, there was no standardization for these connectors, and each manufacturer had its own shape with a unique pin arrangement.

CAN Bus

...
CAN bus (Controller Area Network) is a communication protocol used in vehicles that allows various electronic control units (ECUs) to communicate with each other without a central host computer. It simplifies wiring and enhances reliability by using a two-wire system for data transmission, utilizes a twisted pair of wires for data transmission, which reduces complexity and weight.

LIN Bus

...
LIN bus (Local Interconnect Network) is a low-cost serial communication protocol used in vehicles to connect various components, typically for non-critical applications like power windows and seat controls. It operates with a single master and up to 15 slave nodes, supporting communication speeds of up to 20 kbit/s over a maximum bus length of 40 meters..
